Tips for a healthy mouth without flossing

It shouldn’t be a chore to keep your teeth clean. And it doesn’t have to be. There are some very effective methods of plaque and toxin removal that work far better than brushing and flossing alone. And they are a lot easier.

Directed water irrigation is one of those methods.

This method consists of five simple steps:

  1. Use water as warm as you can comfortably tolerate.
  2. Put the water pressure all the way on high.
  3. Don’t aitm the water jet at the gums, aim it directly in between your teeth and shoot the gap between them.
  4. For a minimum of five seconds hold the water jet stream still. This time will propably be longer than you think, so count your seconds as this stp is the most critical one.
  5. Repeat the process after moving on to the next space.

Do not forget the back of the last tooth or both sides if you have a tooth standing alone.
When doing this method in front of the sink don’t look in the mirror. You will make a mess if you do not look at the bottom of your sink. Perhaps you might be scared by all the debris you had already removed going down the drain.

Flossing as another method to achieve this is a much more challenging task. Quite frankly, it is less forgiving than water irrigation and very technique sensitive. People are inconsistent and don’t like putting their finger in their mouth. The floss may shred, gums blee, you can cut the corners of your mouth and your fingers get sore with flossing.

Proper flossing requires your to place the floss in between your teeth and wrap the floss 180 degrees around one tooth. After sliding it up and down a few times you wrap it around the next tooth and do the same thing again. Most people don’t have the time or don’t like to take the time to do this.

If your daily routine includes a shower, it is easy to incorporate directed water irrigation with on of the ver convenient water jet appliances you can buy for your sink or shower. Why not brush your teeth in the shower? After brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush you could go directly to the shower water irrigator.

If you are more happy with taking a bath you could make use of a sink water irrigator. Use it immediately after brushing your teeth. After loosening the bacteria and toxins the directed water irrigation will remove all the debris from your mouth.

No matter if you are using the water irrigation in the shower or while taking a bath, you will be amazed how fresh and healthy your mouth will feel in just a jew days.
