The 4 Cs of choosing the right diamond for your lover
Everyone loves diamonds, especially women. “Diamonds are a girls best friend” is a quote everyone should know. But how to choose the right diamond if you want to buy one for your lover?
The 4 Cs of diamond knowledge (cut, clarity, colour and carat) will help you find the perfect diamond for the perfect gift.
- The Cut. Every manufacturer cuts, fashions and designs his diamonds before selling it. There are lots of different shapes like oval, round, pear-shaped, heart-shaped or square. Not every shape might fit your needs but there will definitely be one you will like. For a ring i would suggest getting a round-shaped one because of this shape having the most facets it will be the most reflective one. It will make not just the finger of your lover a shining eye-catcher.
- The Clarity. A diamond of good clarity means it has lesser flaws compared to other diamonds. It is very hard to find one without any surface blemishes and those are of course the most expensive available. But even with a strong magnification it would be near to impossible to see the flaws of most diamonds you can get from your local retailer outlet.
- The Colour. A diamond without any color is the most popular type among women. If you do not want a colourless one, you can get them in a wide range of colours, like pink or red, greenor black, purple or yellow and a lot more.
- The Carat. The Carat is a measure for the weight of a diamond. The larger the carat the heavier the diamond. But despite of large diamonds being the most impressive and of course expensive ones, they are not necessary the ones with the best clarity or color.
You should always keep this 4 Cs in mind when searching for a diamond, but there are more things you should keep in mind. You should know which type of diamond your lover prefers, i.e. the shape or colour. The better you meet the preferences of your lover the more steps you will get closer to capture your lover’s heart.
And by the way, why not also get a jewelry armoire for your new piece of jewelry? Both together might be just the perfect gift.
